Radio KC initiated in 1996, by the Koinonia Community Centre is proud to enter 2014 with an audience of 110 000 listeners. The overall area of broadcasts homes a mixed population of 250 000 people. Broadcast coverage includes up to a thousand 1000 local farms and the greater area of the Drakenstein municipality, which focuses mainly on Paarl Wellington Valley. The station is registered as a Section 21 Company, not for individual profits, income is applied for station growth and development.
The on air content can be described as programming based on the interest of the audience, in Afrikaans, English and Xhosa. Language proportions are based on the profile of the audience and may change with the structure of the audience. The station is geographically founded with a content focus on education, development and entertainment.
